ROCKIN’ AROUND THE CHRISTMAS TREE
(written by: Johnny Marks)

Rockin’ around the Christmas tree
At the Christmas party hop
Mistletoe hung where you can see
Every couple tries to stop

Rockin’ around the Christmas tree
Let the Christmas spirit ring
Later we’ll have some pumkin pie
And we’ll do some caroling

You will get a sentimental feeling
When you hear voices singing
Let’s be jolly
Deck the halls with bought of holly

Rockin’ around the Christmas tree
Have a happy holiday
Everyone dnacing merrily
In the new old fashioned way

You will get a sentimental feeling
When you hear voices singing
Let’s be jolly
deck the halls with bought of holly

Rockin’ around the Christmas tree
Have a happy holiday
Everyone dancing merrily
In the new old fashioned way

YABBA-DABBA YULETIDE
(written by: Joseph Barbera, William Hanna, Hoyt Curtin)

Merry, Merry Christmas
And a happy holiday to you
If you’ve been good all year
Maybe Santa Claus will visit you

Bright lights on the houses down the street
Stockings full of all the Christmas treats
When you’re with the big band and the yabba-dabba yuletide
A happy sleigh ride, a Merry Christmas time

Bright lights on the houses down the street
Stockings full of all the Christmas treats
When you’re with the big band and the yabba-dabba yuletide
A happy sleigh ride, a Merry Christmas time
A Merry Christmas time

MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR
(written by: Edward Pola, George Wyle)

It’s the most wonderful time of the year
With the kids jingle belling
And everyone telling you be of good cheer
It’s the most wonderful time of the year

It’s the hap-happiest season of all
With those holiday greetings and gay happy meetings
When friends come to call
It’s the hap-happiest season of all

There’ll be parties for hosting
Marshmallows for toasting
And caroling out in the snow
There’ll be scary ghost stories
And tales of the glories
Of Christmases long, long ago
It’s the most wonderful time of the year

There’ll be parties for hosting
Marshmallows for toasting
And caroling out in the snow
There’ll be scary ghost stories
And tales of the glories
Of Christmases long, long ago

It’s the most wonderful time of the year
There’ll be much mistltoeing
And hearts will be glowing
When love ones are near
It’s the most wonderful time
It’s the most wonderful time
It’s the most wonderful time of the year

ROCKABILLY RUDOLPH
(written by: Johnny Marks)

You know Dasher and Dancer, Prancer and Vixen
Common and Cupid and Donner and Blitzen
But do you recall the most famous Reindeer of all?

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer
Had a very shiny nose
And if you ever saw it
You would even say it glows

All of the other reindeer
Used to laugh and call him names
They never let poor Rudolph
Join in any reindeer games

Then one foggy Christmas Eve, Santa came to say
“Rudolph with your nose so bright
Won’t you guide my sleigh tonight?”

Then how all the reindeer loved him
And they shouted out with glee
Rudolph the red-nosed Reindeer
You’ll go down in history

Then one foggy Christmas Eve, Santa came to say
“Rudolph with your nose so bright
Won’t you guide my sleigh tonight?”

Then how all the reindeer loved him
And they shouted out with glee
Rudolph the red-nosed Reindeer
You’ll go down in history”

HERE COMES SANTA CLAUS
(written by: Gene Autry, Oakley Haldeman)

Here comes S-A-N-T-A, S-A-N-T-A
Rudolph, Santa is on his way, S-A-N-T-A

Here comes Santa Claus
Here comes Santa Claus
Right down Santa Claus lane
Vixen and Blitzen and all his reindeer
Pullin’ on the reins
Bells are ringin’
Children singin’
All is merry and bright
Hang your stockings and say your prayers
‘Cause Santa Claus comes tonight

Here comes S-A-N-T-A, S-A-N-T-A
Rudolph, Santa is on his way, S-A-N-T-A

Here comes Santa Claus
Here comes Santa Claus
Right down Santa Claus lane
He’s got a bag that’s filled with toys
For boys and girls again
Hear those sleigh bells jingle jangle
Oh, what a beautiful sight
So jump in bed and cover your head
‘Cause Santa Claus comes tonight

Here comes S-A-N-T-A, S-A-N-T-A
Here comes Santa is on his way
Gold Old S-A-N-T-A

Here comes Santa Claus
Here comes Santa Claus
Right down Santa Claus lane
He doesn’t care if you’re rich or poor
He loves you just the same
Santa Claus knows we’re all Gods children
That makes everything right
So fill your hearts with Christmas cheer
‘Cause Santa Claus is coming tonight

HAVE YOURSELF A MERRY LITTLE CHRISTMAS
(written by: Hugh Marin, Ralph Blane)

Have yourself a merry little Christmas
Let your heart be light
From now on our troubles will be out of sight

Have yourself a merry little Christmas
Make the Yule-tide gay
From now on our troubles will be miles away

Here we are as in olden days
Happy golden days of yore
Faithful friends who are dear to us
Gather near to us once more

Through the years
We all will be together
If the Fates allow
Hang a shining star upon the highest bough
And have yourself a merry little Christmas now

Here we are as in olden days
Happy golden days of yore
Faithful friends who are dear to us
Gather near to us once more

Through the years
We all will be together
If the Fates allow
Hang a shining star upon the highest bough
And have yourself a merry little Christmas now

LITTLE JACK FROST
(written by: Al Stillman, Seger Ellis)

Little Jack Frost get lost, get lost
Little Jack Frost get lost
You know you don’t do a thing but put a bite on my toes
Freeze up the ground and take the bloom from the rose
Oh, Little Jack Frost go away, go away
And don’t you come back another day

There’s lots of cold feet all the lovers complain
You turned off the heat down on lover’s lane
The bench in the park is alone in the dark
So, Little Jack Frost get lost, get lost
Little Jack Frost get lost

So, Little Jack Frost go away, go away
And don’t you come back another day

There’s lots of cold feet all the lovers complain
You turned off the heat down on lover’s lane
The bench in the park is alone in the dark
So, Little Jack Frost get lost, get lost
Little Jack Frost get lost

LET’S SHAKE
(written by: Brian Setzer)

Let’s shake (shake, shake)
Let’s shake (shake, shake)
Let’s shake (shake, shake)
Let’s shake (shake, shake)

Well, it’s a crazy little world
A crazy little world we’re living in
I never thought once about packing up and giving in
Sleeping all day and rocking all night

Let’s shake (shake, shake)
Let’s shake (shake, shake)

Well, pay day’s coming and my work is all done
Gonna dress real nice ‘cause my baby’s number one
Gonna rock a little bit
Gonna have a little fun

Let’s shake (shake, shake)
Let’s shake (shake, shake)

Well, I’m picking up my baby at half past eight
Knokcing on the door, “honey don’t be late”
She’s the one for me, she’s all mine
She ain’t nothing but fine, fine, fine

Dance with my baby
Shake it all night long
Shimmy those hips
Let’s get real gone
Me and you honey we can’t go wrong

Let’s shake (shake, shake)
Let’s shake (shake, shake)
Let’s shake (shake, shake)

Well, I’m picking up my baby at half past eight
Knokcing on the door, “honey don’t be late”
She’s the one for me, she’s all mine
She ain’t nothing but fine, fine, fine

Dance with my baby
Shake it all night long
Shimmy those hips
Let’s get real gone
Me and you honey we can’t go wrong

Let’s shake (shake, shake)
Let’s shake (shake, shake)

Let’s shake (shake, shake)
Rattle and Roll
Let’s shake (shake, shake)
Shake It All Over
Let’s shake (shake, shake)
A Whole Lotta Shakin’ Going On
Let’s shake (shake, shake)
One, two, three, four

ROCKABILLY BLUES
(written by: Brian Setzer)

When I was just a boy way back then
I just seemed to know it all, man, even back then
Gonna make people shout and clap their hands
I’m gonna play guitar in a rock & roll band

I never wanna stop it
I just want to rock it
Yes I do, oh yeah
And I can’t seem to shake them low down rockabilly blues
Rockabilly blues
Rockabilly blues
Rockabilly blues
Rockabilly blues

When I was seventeen I got this here guitar
We’ve had our ups and downs
But it’s gotten me this far
It’s made a lot of money
It’s been around the world
It’s been with me longer than any other girl

I never wanna stop it
I just want to rock it
Yes I do, oh yeah
And I can’t seem to shake them low down rockabilly blues
Rockabilly blues
Rockabilly blues
Rockabilly blues
Rockabilly blues

I never wanna stop it
I just want to rock it
Yes I do
And I can’t seem to shake them low down rockabilly blues, oh yeah

Baby I can’t fake it
I just just wanna shake it
Yes I do, oh yeah
And I never wanna lose them low down rockabilly blues
Rockabilly blues
Rockabilly blues
Rockabilly blues
Rockabilly blues

VINYL RECORDS
(written by: Brian Setzer)

Well, I got a girl called Flatfoot Sam
Went looking for a job down in Alabama
Well, the manager asked her what she does
Well, she checked the box that said “none of the above”

She plays vinyl records
45 RPM
Vinyl records
She drops the needle and spins ‘em again

Got all dolled up on a Saturday night
Went to see a little band that she really kinda liked
She was waiting on hearing her favourite song
But it didn’t sound right ‘til she put on

Vinyl records
45 RPM
Vinyl records
She drops the needle and spins ‘em again

Well, her friends all say there’s a thing of the past
Worn out records just don’t last
So she dropped on a 33 and a third
This time I’m gonna let it be heard

Just a little louder
Just a little louder
Just a little louder
Just a little louder

When you crank up the volume – My oh my
Nothing beats the sound of that old Hi-Fi
When the next big thing has come and gone
Just remember you can always put on

Vinyl records
45 RPM
Vinyl records
She drops the needle and spins ‘em again

Your vinyl records
45 RPM
Vinyl records
She drops the needle and spins ‘em again

LEMME SLIDE
(written by: Brian Setzer)

I went out last night for a midnight drive
Next thing you know I’m doing a hundred and five
Police man pulls up by my side
Lemme slide man, lemme slide

I ran out of money, I ran out of gas
There’s a little station by the underpass
I explained to the man I ain’t got no cash
Lemme slide man, lemme slide

It ain’t that I ain’t got the fundamentals (yeah, you got them)
I just can’t seem to pay my incidentals (you ain’t got them)

I told a pretty gal I was a rock & roll singer
She was good looking man, a real humdinger
But I didn’t see the wedding ring on her finger
Lemme slide man, lemme slide

It’s such a compromising situation (yes it is)
I think I’ll leave and take a paid vacation (yeah, you wish)

When I got home she said, “where you been”
I said, “working and slaving just to pay the rent”
I’ll be sleeping in the dog house again
Lemme slide man, lemme slide
Lemme slide

NOTHING IS A SURE THING
(written by: Brian Setzer, Mike Himmelstein)

I’m gonna hit the road
I’m gonna hit it hard
And if the wheels explode
Then it was in the cards
I get it while it’s hot
Could be the fix is in
Give me the longest shot
‘Cause nothing is a sure thing baby

I met a champagne blonde
Came on without a doubt
She waved her magic wand
And then the lights went out
Woke up a lonely man
I looked into the mirror
Her lipstick message read
“Nothing is a sure thing, baby”

Well, nothing is a sure bet
Nothing is a sure thing baby
When you think it’s automatic
Honey, someone sets you up for a fall
You’ll lose it all
Nothing is a sure thing baby

Well, nothing is a sure bet
Nothing is a sure thing baby
It’s a shady proposition
Listen to your intuition and go
Yeah, don’t you know
Nothing is a sure thing baby

Now trouble rolls around
And so you’re laying low
You oughta double down
Pop the clutch and go
I guarantee you this
You won’t forget the ride
Let’s seal it with a kiss
‘Cause nothing is a sure thing baby

Well, nothing is a sure bet
Nothing is a sure thing baby
It’s a shady proposition
Listen to your intuition and go
Yeah, don’t you know
Nothing is a sure thing baby

Well, nothing is a sure bet
Nothing is a sure thing baby
When you think it’s automatic
Honey, someone sets you up for a fall
You’ll lose it all
Nothing is a sure thing
Nothing is a sure thing baby

WHAT’S HER NAME
(written by: Brian Setzer)

All my friends are telling me that I don’t seem the same
Since I went and broke up with what’s her name
Funny how her name doesn’t come to mind
But I seem to remember she’s the cheating kind

I gotta walk… run… get away from here
Because I just… might… drown in my own tears

I’m gonna buy a ticket on a westbound train
I’m going out a-looking for what’s her name
I’m going out a-looking for what’s her name

Well, I met her on the blind
Hell, I did it on a dare
She was long, lean and fine with her coal black hair
She could move on the floor
She could shimmy and shake
Just a look from her could make a cold hear break

I was too young… son… yeah for my own good
And then we parted… like I knew we would

But I don’t feel no pity, man, I don’t feel any shame
I don’t know what happened to what’s her name
I don’t know what happened to what’s her name

I gotta walk… run… get away from here
Because I just… might… drown in my own tears

I’m gonna buy a ticket on a westbound train
I’m going out a-looking for what’s her name
I’m going out a-looking for what’s her name
I’m going out a-looking for what’s her name

CALAMITY JANE
(written by: Brian Setzer)

There’s a new girl in town everybody’s talking ‘bout
If you see her walking by
She’ll make you scream and shout
Don’t ask her for her number
‘Cause she’s the kind of girl
That can’t be tamed (aw, nah)

Ladies and gentlemen introducing
The one and only Calamity Jane

Calamity Jane (Jane, Jane)
Calamity Jane (Jane, Jane)
Calamity Jane

Well, she’s never dressed for concert
She’s always dressed in style
Whenever she’s on the move
It drives us poor boys wild
Whatever that girl is drinking
Two more, bartender
Just the same
It’s a pleasure to introduce you
Everybody welcome, Calamity Jane

Calamity Jane (Jane, Jane)
Calamity Jane (Jane, Jane)
Calamity Jane

Well, she don’t want your car or your money
She don’t want no fortune and fame
She always starts a commotion
Well, that’s why the gave her her name, Calamity Jane

She can rock out in the daytime and dance the night away
She don’t care what people think or what the fools might say
All the girls, they want to be her
All the guys, they want to meet her
Just the same
Well, it’s a pleasure, won’t you welcome
The one and only, Calamity Jane

Calamity Jane (Jane, Jane)
Calamity Jane (Jane, Jane)
Calamity Jane

Calamity Jane (Jane, Jane)
Calamity Jane (Jane, Jane)
Calamity Jane

THE GIRL WITH THE BLUES IN HER EYES
(written by: Brian Setzer, Mike Himmelstein)

Strange I remember
What I really should forget
Time is gone forever
That’s the one thing I regret
It’s time to say my goodbyes
To the girl with the blues in her eyes

Lost in those “if onlys”
There was nothing left to say
All my nights are lonely
And much longer than my days
I sing a sweet lullaby
To the girl with the blues in her eyes

She was the girl with the blues in her eyes
Too many tears brought by too many lies
I ride alone under threatening skies
And I guess it’s time to go

So I’ll say, “no worries”
Just to hide my worried mind
I’ll leave in a hurry
With a cloud of dust behind
I’ll sing a sweet lullaby
To the girl with the blues in her eyes

She was the girl with the blues in her eyes
Too many tears brought by too many lies
I ride alone under threatening skies
And I guess it’s time to go

So I’ll say, “no worries”
Just to hide my worried mind
I’ll leave in a hurry
With a cloud of dust behind
I’ll sing a sweet lullaby
To the girl with the blues in her eyes

STILETTO COOL
(written by: Brian Setzer)

She’s got the look I like
She’s the one I want
Got her tight dress high
And her high heels on
Got a new tattoo dedicated to love
But how did she know that’s what I’m thinking on
I said, “baby, don’t try and mess with me
‘Cause I’m a real gone daddy from NYC”

She ain’t desperate but she’s up for it
Shes dangerous
She swings blade sharp
She’s Stiletto Cool… alright
Cool, Stiletto Cool, Cool

She’s a fine little kitten
Just hear her purr
Everyone of the boys takes a shot at her
Just look at her dance
She’s in the groove
While the band is playing I’ll make my move
Well I said, “sugar, you sure look fine”
She said, “daddy, take a number and wait in line”

She ain’t desperate but she’s up for it
Shes dangerous
She swings blade sharp
And I’m gonna get cut
She’s been up all night
And her hair’s a sight
She’s got her lipstick right
It’s a wild cat fight
She’s Stiletto Cool… alright

Well, a famous man
He once sang a song
He said, “you’ll be sorry baby, when I’m gone”
She said, “sugar, you just ain’t my cup of tea”
I said “baby, you’re my stick of TNT
You’re a rockabilly doll
That’s enough for me
‘Cause I’m a real gone daddy from NYC”

She ain’t desperate but she’s up for it
Shes dangerous
She swings blade sharp
And I’m gonna get cut
She’s been up all night
And her hair’s a sight
She’s got her lipstick right
It’s a wild cat fight
She’s Stiletto Cool… alright
Cool, Stiletto Cool, Cool
Stiletto Cool

I SHOULD’A HAD A V-8
(written by: Brian Setzer)

Well, I said pretty baby
Hey we got a little money
So let’s go gamble in the morning
Let’s do it right
We’ll rock the night away
So I started up the car but we didn’t get far
We stalled right in the intersection
I knew it there and then when I heard the motor whine
It was way past trade in time

I gotta get a V-8, I gotta get a V-8
It’s the only motor ever made that never gets there late
You can get a little car if you wanna save gas
But I’m the kind of guy who likes to get there fast
I can’t wait
I gotta get a V-8
I gotta get a V-8

So I put out a feeler for a used car dealer
And I walked right into that showroom
He started out a-taking
Even ‘fore I got a-waking through the door
He made a direction for the latest selection
Of the greatest cars ever on offer
I really shouldn’t do it ‘cause I’m giving it away
There it is on the showroom floor

Well, it’s got a V-6, yeah, it’s got a V-6
It’ll save ya on gas
But it’s fast enough to get your kicks
It’s got plenty of power
Just look at her shine
Put 10 percent down
Pay the rest on time
How’s tricks
You gotta get a V-6
You gotta get a V-6

Well, he talked to fast and the deal sounded good
He hustled me right out of the showroom
He handed me a paper
Just sign it on the dotted line
He dangled the keys right in front of my nose
For $1500 you can take it
Any colour that you want you could drive it home today
The car is now all mine

You know what

I should’a had a V-8
I should’a had a V-8
It’s the only motor ever made that never gets there late
You can get a V-6 if you wanna save gas
But I’m the kind of guy who likes to get there fast
I’m late
I should’a had a V-8

I should’a had a V-8
I should’a had a V-8
It’s the only motor ever made that never gets there late
You can get a V-6 if you wanna save gas
But I’m the kind of guy who likes to get there fast
I’m late
I should’a had a V-8
I should’a had a V-8

BLUE LIGHTS, BIG CITY
(written by: Brian Setzer)

Blue lights, big city, biy town
Were all too much
They chased my baby far away from me
Blue lights, big city, biy town
I knew as much they chased my baby back to Tennessee

Well, now she’s gone
And so I find I couldn’t change her mind
She promised that
She’d never leave and break the ties that bind

Blue lights, big city, biy town
Just ain’t her style
She went back home and now she’s gone from me

Blue lights, big city, biy town
I’d give it all
If I could bring my baby back to me
Blue lights, big city, biy town
Well, I found out
My baby’s never coming back to me

Well, now she’s gone
And so I find I couldn’t change her mind
She promised that
She’d never leave and break the ties that bind

Blue lights, big city, biy town
Well, I found out
My baby’s never coming back to me
Coming back to me
Coming back to me
She’s never coming back to me

COCK-A-DOODLE DON’T
(written by: Brian Setzer)

Well, I got a hen that lays hard boiled eggs
There’s a pig in the pen that’s just a ham with four legs
The cows need a-milking and the chickens ain’t been fed
My rooster’s waking up
You just lay around in bed
I crow all night about it but baby you won’t
‘Cause when I cock-a-doodle do
You cock-a-doodle don’t

I cock-a-doodle do
And you cock-a-doodle don’t
I crow all night about it but baby you won’t
Just a little cock-a-doodling will do just fine
But you’re driving me out of my cock-a-doodling mind
I crow all night about it but baby you won’t
‘Cause I cock-a-doodle do
And you cock-a-doodle don’t

There used to be a time when I cock a doodle dooed
The chicks would come a-running and the cows would all moo
The fox is in the hen house and the feathers start to fly
There is a ruckus in the barn when I come strutting by
At five o’clock each morning the cock would start to crow
I would have flown the coop but how was I to know

I cock-a-doodle do
And you cock-a-doodle don’t
I crow all night about it but baby you won’t
Just a little cock-a-doodling will do just fine
But you’re driving me out of my cock-a-doodling mind
I crow all night about it but baby you won’t
‘Cause I cock-a-doodle do
And you cock-a-doodle don’t

The corn in the field is blowing in the breeze
And the leaves are all gone on the cottonwood trees
I can’t plow the dirt ‘cause it’s dry as a bone
And that run down shack is the place I call home
I’d live in the barn but baby you won’t
‘Cause I cock-a-doodle do
You cock-a-doodle don’t

I cock-a-doodle do
And you cock-a-doodle don’t
I crow all night about it but baby you won’t
Just a little cock-a-doodling will do just fine
But you’re driving me out of my cock-a-doodling mind
I crow all night about it but baby you won’t
‘Cause I cock-a-doodle do
And you cock-a-doodle don’t

YOU DON’T LOVE ME (bonus track for Japan)
(written by: Brian Setzer)

You don’t love me
But you don’t even know that yet
You think you’re above me
But I ain’t done with you yet

You toss and turn
You can’t sleep at night
He’s a man you can never forget
You don’t love me
But we’re about to change all that

You didn’t know then
Driving in the black of the night
The roads are alive
And they’ll twist with the flick of a knife

You din’t see him coming
No way that you could
Blinded by the moon
And the thick of the woods
You don’t love me
Well, you just better think about that

You don’t love me
You don’t love me baby
You don’t love me
You don’t love me

I sit and watch
By the light of the silvery moon
But I can’t imagine
That you’re coming ‘round any time soon
With a flick of the wrist
And the twist of the blade
You wouldn’t live up
To that vow that we made

You don’t love me
You don’t love me baby
You don’t love me
Now you’re just gonna lay like that

Brian Setzer’s Rockabilly Riot – Live From The Planet lyrics

Note: since this is a live album, only the songs that have not been studio recorded are included.

FOLSOM PRISON BLUES
(written by: Johnny Cash)

I hear the train a comin’, it’s rolling round the bend
And I ain’t seen the sunshine since I don’t know when
I’m stuck in Folsom prison and time keeps draggin’ on
But that train keeps movin’ on down to San Antonio

When I was just a baby my mama told me, son
“Always be a good boy, don’t ever play with guns”
But I shot a man in Reno just to watch him die
When I hear that whistle blowing, I hang my head and cry

Well if they freed me from this prison, if that railroad train was mine
I bet I’d move it on a little farther down the line
Far from Folsom prison, that’s where I want to stay
And I’d let that lonesome whistle blow my blues away

GREAT BALLS OF FIRE
(written by: Jerry Lee Lewis)

You shake my nerves and you rattle my brain
Too much love drives a man insane
You broke my will but what a thrill
Goodness gracious great balls of fire

I laughed at love cause I thought it was funny
But you came along and mooved me honey
I’ve changed my mind, this love is fine
Goodness gracious great balls of fire!

Kiss me baby
Mmmm feels good
Hold me baby
I want to love you like a lover should
You’re fine, so kind
Gotta tell this world that you’re mine, mine, mine, mine

I chew my nails and I twiddle my thumbs
I’m real nervous, honey, but it sure is fun
Love is good, I’ve changed my mind
Goodness gracious great balls of fire

Touch me baby
Ohhhhhh, feels good
Hold me baby
I want to love you like a lover should
You’re fine, so kind
Gotta tell this world that you’re mine, mine, mine, mine

I chew my nails and I twiddle my thumbs
I’m real nervous but it sure is fun
I’ve changed my mind, this love is fine
Goodness gracious great balls of fire

Kiss me baby
Mmmm feels good
Hold me baby
I want to love you like a lover should
You’re kind, so fine
Gotta tell this world that you’re mine, mine, mine, mine

I chew my nails and I twiddle my thumbs
I’m real nervous but it sure is fun
I’ve changed my mind, this love is fine
Goodness gracious great balls of fire

SEVEN NIGHTS TO ROCK
(written by: Henry Glover, Louis Innus, Ronald Killette)

Seven nights to rock
Seven nights to roll
Seven nights, I’m gonna show my face
With a different woman and in a different place
Seven nights to rock
Seven nights to roll

Monday, it’s gonna be Lorraine
Tuesday, I’m at Mary Jane’s
Wednesday, I’m taking Sue
Thursday, I’m at Bertha Lou’s
Friday, I’m with you know who
Saturday and Sunday, any chick will do

Seven nights to rock
Seven nights to roll
Seven nights, I’m gonna show my face
With a different woman and in a different place
Seven nights to rock
Seven nights to roll

Monday, I’m at the union hall
Tuesday, I’m at the social ball
Wednesday, I’m at the road house inn
Thursday, I’m at the lion’s den
Friday, I’m at the chatter box
Saturday and Sunday, everybody rocks

Seven nights to rock
Seven nights to roll
Seven nights, I’m gonna show my face
With a different woman and in a different place
Seven nights to rock
Seven nights to roll

Monday, I’m at the union hall
Tuesday, I’m at the social ball
Wednesday, I’m at the road house inn
Thursday, I’m at the lion’s den
Friday, I’m at the chatter box
Saturday and Sunday, everybody rocks

Seven nights to rock
Seven nights to roll
Seven nights, I’m gonna show my face
With a different woman and in a different place
Seven nights to rock
Seven nights to roll

Brian Setzer Orchestra – Songs From Lonely Avenue lyrics

TROUBLE TRAIN
(written by: Brian Setzer)

The trouble train is comin’
It’s been rollin’ through this town
Since I don’t know when
The trouble train they call it
And once you’re on it
You just can’t get off it my friend

Don’t get on that trouble train again
It’s rollin’ and thunderin’ round the bend
If you hear the devil call your name
Don’t get on that trouble train
(Trouble train, trouble train)
If you hear the devil call your name
Don’t get on that trouble train

The trouble train is comin’
It’s full of troubled souls
Who have gone astray
The trouble train is burnin’
It’s puffin’ smoke and fire
And it’s headed your way

Now don’t get on that trouble train
It’s a long way down
Please listen my friend
If you hear the devil call your name
Don’t get on that trouble train
(Trouble train, trouble train)
If the devil’s calling out your name
He’s riding on that trouble train

(Trouble train)

The trouble train’s left the station
It’s claimed another soul it’ll come back again
The trouble train’s damnation
It’s a one-way ticket to the fiery end

Don’t get on that train again
It’s a long way down
Please listen my friend
If you hear the devil call your name
Don’t get on that trouble train

Don’t get on that train again
It’s a long way down
Please listen my friend
If you hear the devil call your name
Don’t get on that trouble train

DEAD MAN INCORPORATED
(written by: Brian Setzer)

I fell asleep in a cool cold sweat
I never anticipated
A man with a knife
Just lookin’ for a fight I never initiated
He whispered my name so calm and cool
He stood in the shadows and waited
I didn’t know what I had done
Should I run
My options were sure ill-fated

Is this real
I could feel
He was close
He was hot on my heels
If it’s a nightmare it’s way overrated
He told me that he worked for
Dead Man Incorporated

He told me I wasn’t the one that they want
I wasn’t the one they were chasin’
Somehow I just was along for the ride
I knew of the fate I was facin’
A man on the run and the smoke from his gun
Was somehow so strangely familiar
He said you’re a witness to a crime of my friend
And if they find you they’re gonna kill ya

Is a hunt
Is a chase
I was staring at a gun in my face
If it’s a nightmare it’s way overrated
He told me I was wanted by
Dead Man Incorporated

Tires were stretchin’
Bloodied hands were reachin’
And bullets were flyin’ right by me
Guns they were poppin’
Bodies were droppin’
To the violence there just seemed no stoppin’
Then somebody shook me
I swung as he took me
He said it’s a dream simply stated
The movie marquis out my window it read
Dead Man Incorporated

Is this real
I could feel
He was close
He was hot on my heels
If it’s a nightmare it’s way overrated
He told me that he worked for
Dead Man

Is a hunt
Is a chase
I was staring at a gun in my face
If it’s a nightmare it’s way overrated
He told me I was wanted by
Dead Man Incorporated
Dead Man Incorporated

KISS ME DEADLY
(written by: Brian Setzer)

She came to me in early April
She came like late spring does sometimes
My heart was taken so like December snow
Frozen in the chill of winter time

But now they’ve taken early April
December’s coming back again
I feel the frosty morn
Now my baby’s gone
She just wouldn’t leave it well alone

She said kiss me deadly, don’t be sweet
Kiss me deadly, knock me off my feet
Kiss me deadly, turn up the heat
Kiss me deadly, kiss me deadly
Kiss me deadly, kiss me deadly

She wore dark glasses and a black rose
Was it perfume, I couldn’t tell
She wouldn’t hesitate
She wouldn’t intoxicate
Any kind of man that came her way

She’s not a girl you can hold on to
I got that feeling from the start
But I looked the other way
It’s haunting me today
I just couldn’t get enough of her

She said kiss me deadly, don’t be sweet
Kiss me deadly, knock me off my feet
Kiss me deadly, turn up the heat
Kiss me deadly, kiss me deadly
Kiss me deadly, kiss me deadly

She left me then in late October
We didn’t have too much to say
She had her mind made up
I guess that’s my tough luck
Letting my fool heart get in the way
You know I’m kind of glad it’s over
That kind of love can last so long
Don’t feel too bad for me
Yes, I heard the plea
I kissed her deadly, can’t you see

That I kissed her deadly, off her feet
I kissed her deadly, don’t be sweet
I kissed her deadly, turned up the heat

Kiss me deadly, don’t be sweet
Kiss me deadly, knocked her off her feet
Kiss me deadly, turned up the heat
Kiss me deadly, kiss me deadly
Kiss me deadly, kiss me deadly

GIMME SOME RHYTHM DADDY
(written by: Brian Setzer)

Gimme some rhythm baby
Gimme some rhythm baby
I’ll take you out on the town
I’ll spin you around
Gimme some rhythm baby

Gimme some rhythm daddy
I don’t wanna chit chit chatty
I just wanna dance
And a little romance
Gimme some rhythm daddy

When we head out on the dance floor
I ain’t really askin’ for a lot
What more could I cry for
Show me all that rhythm that you got
Man

Gimme some rhythm baby, come on
Gimme some rhythm daddy
My heart starts singin’
And my feet do the swingin’
Gimme some rhythm daddy

I don’t want no mashed potato
I don’t want an alligator
Just give me a while with a crocodile
Gimme some rhythm daddy

Rutabags and tomatoes, what
Famous Idaho potatoes
Smoke collared greens and lima beans
Gimme some rhythm baby

With a GPS to guide us
We can find an internet café
We can share a little latte
With soy milk please
Because I’m lactose intolerant

Broadway and Radio City
Central Park is lookin’ mighty pretty
We’re stayin’ up late in the Empire State
Gimme some rhythm daddy (baby)

I don’t need a fortune teller
To tell me you’re a real sweet fella
Dancin’ round and round
To a big band sound

Smoke collared greens and lima beans
Hang a little while with a crocodile, with who
I need a little lift if you catch my drift
We’re stayin’ up late in the Empire State
Gimme some rhythm daddy (baby)

LONELY AVENUE
(written by: Brian Setzer)

Lonely Avenue, nothing left to do
At least no, not with you
I took it kinda hard Lonely Avenue
Take a stroll when you get the blues
You’ll meet you don’t know who
When you take a walk down Lonely Avenue

The rain keeps comin’ down
In lonesome New York Town
I know you’re not around
But still I think I see
Your reflection in the glass
Is it too late to ask for one more round
A town this big I never knew
Could have a Lonely Avenue

Don’t you think that we could share
The memory of just one final laugh together
Don’t you think that there’s a chance
Our paths may never cross again
Don’t say forever

Lonely Avenue, man, I’m through with you
Your sidewalks are all cracked
All my memories are blue
I’ll cross another street
But first I’ll tell you what I’m gonna do
I’ll never walk again down that Lonely Avenue

Don’t you think that we could share
The memory of just one final laugh together
Don’t you think that there’s a chance
Our paths may never cross again
Don’t say forever

Lonely Avenue, man, I’m through with you
Your sidewalks are all cracked
All my memories are blue
I’ll cross another street
But first I’ll tell you what I’m gonna do
No, I’ll never walk again down that Lonely Avenue
I’ll never walk again down that Lonely Avenue

THE KING OF THE WHOLE DAMN WORLD
(written by: Brian Setzer)

Boys, I’ve got the sign
The pieces fit, the stars align
Now the plans unfurled
We need the king
The king of the whole damn world

The punks on the street
They won’t know what hit ‘em
Their Italian suits man
They won’t ever fit ‘em
We’ll take ‘em down hard
They won’t know what bit ‘em
They can’t even find us

‘Cause we just out hid ‘em
I’m tellin’ you man
If you’re with ‘em, best quite ‘em
They can’t compete
‘Cause we’ll just outwit ‘em
It’s good to be king
King of the whole damn world

He walks by and people stare
He walks on air without a care
Listen up, just one more thing
This guy’s for real
This guy’s the king

We’ll strike late at night
We won’t stop till we find ‘em
We’ll hunt ‘em like rats
We’ll completely surround ‘em
We’ll chase ‘em, we’ll face ‘em
We’ll dog ‘em, we’ll hound ‘em
We’ll tighten the circle
Till the rope is around ‘em
A bullet I’ll take
For the thrill and the cause
We’re knocking out windows
We’re tearing down doors
It’s good to be king
The king of the whole damn world

We’ll strike late at night
We won’t stop till we find ‘em
We’ll hunt ‘em like rats
We’ll completely surround ‘em
We’ll chase ‘em, we’ll face ‘em
We’ll dog ‘em, we’ll hound ‘em
We’ll tighten the circle
Till the rope is around ‘em
A bullet I’ll take
For the thrill and the cause
We’re knocking out windows
We’re tearing down doors
It’s good to be king
The king of the whole damn world

When you lead a life like this
You take the shots, you take the hits
Listen brother, I know one thing
It’s good to be king
The king of the whole damn world

King of the whole damn world
The king of the whole damn world
King of the whole damn world
King of the whole damn world
King of the whole damn world
The king of the whole damn world

MY BABY DON’T LOVE ME BLUES
(written by: Brian Setzer)

My baby she don’t love me
She’s never thinkin’ of me
I guess I got
My baby don’t love me blues

If it’s true what I’m thinkin’
She’s on the town slinkin’ all around
My baby don’t love me blues

Well, if I ever get to China
I’m gonna dig a hole to Carolina
I guess I’ve got
My baby don’t love me blues

I never said I didn’t need you
I only said I’d never leave you
I guess I got
My baby don’t love me blues

Now she ain’t never, never comin’ home
And I must stand all alone
I guess I’ve got
My baby don’t love me blues

LOVE PARTNERS IN CRIME
(written by: Brian Setzer)

Someday, some way
I’ve got a place I wanna go
I don’t know where
I don’t know how
Someday, today
I wanna let you know
The time for us baby is now

Leave your troubles
And all your cares behind
Lovers together
We’ll fly on a dime
Someday, some way
I think you oughta know
We’re just love partners in crime

Sailin’ from star to star
Flyin’ high up in the sky
Love is a moolit night
Never ever kiss me goodbye

Here’s what I say
I know a place we gotta go
Give me your heart
Maybe you’ll find
Someday, some way
Baby, you gotta know
We’re just love partners in crime

Sailin’ from star to star
Flyin’ high up in the sky
Love is a moolit night
Never ever kiss me goodbye

Here’s what I say
I know a place we gotta go
Give me your heart
Maybe you’ll find
Someday, some way
Baby, you gotta know
We’re just love partners
Only just love partners in crime

PASSION OF THE NIGHT
(written by: Brian Setzer)

Nighttime breaks and so does my heart
It’s beautifully broken in two
Darkness falls but the moonlight sparks
Longing and yearning for you
This is our story
Is this the glory of love
It’s hot and it’s right
It’s just the passion of the night

Spellbound hell-bound, what do I care
We all end up the fool
Chasing, facing the struggle ahead
A game without the rules
Is this our fight
Just what are we searching for
I’m ready to fight
For the passion of the night

So let it all crumble
Too late to be humble
As we stumble home in the dawn
Why are we running
Let’s both use our cunning
The two of us can’t be so wrong

Sun shines in rather tentatively
As almost if to say
Sorry to burst your bubble my friend
Your blues are here to stay
I’ll wait for the darkness
And think of the warmness of you

You know you can’t fight
It’s the passion of the night

DIMES IN THE JAR
(written by: Brian Setzer)

Don’t you know baby
The faster you get there
The longer it takes you to leave
And ain’t it so
That the nicer they treat you
The more they’re inclined to deceive
So it goes baby I’m here for the long run
They told me to come as you are
I found a good one
She looks like she could run
She looks like a good one so far
Never got handed a dollar by no one
I earned every dime in the jar

She wants to catch you
And she wants to fetch you
And she wants to wrap you all up
Into a bundle, if you make a bundle of cash
You’re just plain out of luck
It starts out dandy
And she’ll give you candy
But that’s only part of the trap
She gets an attorney
And his name is Bernie
And he’ll string you up like a cat
Never got handed a dollar by no one
I earned every dime just like that

Every dime in the jar
Comes from runnin’
From dive bar to bar
Every dime in the jar
Comes from diggin’ and scratchin’
And stealin’ the gold from the starts
Please understand me
Ain’t nobody handing me
Dimes that I keep in the jar

Every dime in the jar
Comes from runnin’
From dive bar to bar
Every dime in the jar
Comes from diggin’ and scratchin’
And stealin’ the gold from the starts
Please understand me
Ain’t nobody handing me
Dimes that I keep in the jar

When I was a young boy
My daddy had nothin’
Momma would save every dime in the jar
Now mommas have nannies
And house cleaning spannies
And daddies will lose every time
They don’t save dimes now
Not even dollars
They don’t save nothin’ you earn
Now, I don’t know how
I’m sure in the end now
There’s some place
Where they gonna burn
Never got handed a dollar by no one
And here’s the lesson I learned

Every dime in the jar
Comes from runnin’
From dive bar to bar
Every dime in the jar
Comes from diggin’ and scratchin’
And stealin’ the gold from the starts

Every dime in the jar
Comes from runnin’
From dive bar to bar
Every dime in the jar
Comes from diggin’ and scratchin’
And stealin’ the gold from the starts
Please understand me
Ain’t nobody handing me
Dimes that I keep in the jar
Dimes that I keep in the jar
Dimes that I keep in the jar
Dimes that I keep in the jar

LONELY AVENUE – reprise – (bonus track for Japan)
(written by: Brian Setzer)

Don’t you think that we could share
The memory of just one final laugh together
Don’t you think that there’s a chance
Our paths may never cross again
Don’t say forever

Lonely Avenue, man, I’m through with you
Your sidewalks are all cracked
All my memories are blue
I’ll cross another street
But first I’ll tell you what I’m gonna do
No, I’ll never walk again down that Lonely Avenue
I’ll never walk again down that Lonely Avenue

SANTA CLAUS IS COMING TO TOWN
(written by: J. Freed Coots, Haven Gillespie)

You better watch out
You better not cry
You better not pout
I’m telling you why
Santa Claus is coming to town

He’s making a list
And checking it twice
Gonna find out who’s naughty and nice
Santa Claus is coming to town

He sees you when you’re sleeping
He knows when you’re awake
He knows if you’ve been bad or good
So be good for goodness sake

Oh, you better watch out
You better not cry
Better not pout
I’m gonna tell you why
Santa Claus is coming to town

He sees you when you’re sleeping
He knows when you’re awake
He knows if you’ve been bad or good
So you better be good, better be good, better be good

Don’t shout
Don’t cry
Don’t pout
I’m gonna tell you why
Santa Claus is coming to town
That’s right here he comes

Is that what you brought me
What am I gonna do with a trombone

The kids in girl and boyland
Will have a jubilee
They’re gonna build a toyland
All around, rockin’ around the Christmas tree

You better not shout
You better not cry
Oh no, don’t don’t pout
I’m gonna tell you why
Santa Claus is coming to town
Santa Claus will be coming to town near you soon

ONE MORE NIGHT WITH YOU
(written by: Edward Greg / lyrics by: Mike Himmelstein)

I don’t need no foreign car
Movie star
New guitar
A jukebox in a funky bar
And one more night with you

I don’t need no voodoo charm
Daddy’s farm
False alarm
Ain’t no thing can do me harm
As long as you are true

I don’t need no mojo hex
Bouncing cheeks
Another ex
Shuffle them up poker decks
I’ll go all in with you

I don’t need no pinky ring
Bad da bing
One more thing
Love a band that loves to swing
And blast it all night through

Let’s go, get us out of town
Double down
Lay around
All I need’s a rockin’ sound
And one more night with you

Papa don’t need no golden watch
Another chick
Another notch
Just pour me another Scotch
And one more night with you

I don’t need no inside track
Deck that’s stacked
Fade to black
I won’t miss I think I lack
As long as I got you

I just need my dog to fetch
Buck to stretch
Play some catch
I just need my big ol’ Gretsch
These little things will do

I don’t need no foreign car
Movie star
New guitar
A jukebox in a funky bar
And one more night with you

HONEY MAN
(written by: Rimsky Korsarov / lyrics by: Mike Himmelstein)

Is he busy
Busy is he
Is he busy
Busy is he
Go
Whoa

Honey honey, honey man
Honey honey, honey man
Faster, faster
Faster, faster
Faster, faster
Go

Is he busy
Busy is he
Is he busy
Busy is he
Go
Whoa

Sugar sugar, honey man
Sugar sugar, honey man
Faster, faster
Faster, faster
Faster, faster
Go

Bzzz, bzzz
Oh yes, the honey man is here
Sting, sting
Oh boy, the honey man is here

Is he busy
Busy is he
Is he busy
Busy is he
Go
Whoa

Honey honey, honey man
Honey honey, honey man
Faster, faster
Faster, faster
Faster, faster
Go

DRUGS & ALCOHOL (BULLET HOLES)
(written by: Brian Setzer)

How can you always put me down
When you’re never even there to hang around
When you do, you’re always to drunk to talk (hey, hey hey)
How comes you always hang around
With a methamphetamine whore drug hound
And never even listen to a word I say (hey, hey, hey)

Drugs and alcohol, bullet holes through the walls
What am I gonna do
I’m only 16 years old but I’ve been through
More than most anyone that I knew, that I knew

I’m always in a fight in my school
They want me to obey the golden rule
But the rules don’t apply to everyone (no, no, no)
And what can I do when the big boss man
Tells me that I have to understand
I can’t be proud to be who I am

Drugs and alcohol, bullet holes through the walls
What am I gonna do
I’m only 16 years old but I’ve been through
More than most anyone that I knew, that I knew

How can I afford to fail
When the only opinion is going to jail
Why should I even try
I’ve got a tattoo, says win or die
The invasion’s on, that’s no lie
I’m sure I won’t live to tell the tale

Drugs and alcohol, bullet holes through the walls
What am I gonna do
I’m only 16 years old but I’ve been through
More than most anyone that I knew

Drugs and alcohol, bullet holes through the walls
What am I gonna do
I’m only 16 years old but I’ve been through
More than most anyone that I knew

TAKE A CHANCE ON LOVE
(written by: Brian Setzer)

I got a lucky rabbit’s foot
I’ve got a loaded pair of dice
I hang the horseshoe over my bed
Because my luck’s been cold as ice
I love to watch that roulette wheel
Spinnin’ round and round
I place a bet at five to one
When my baby comes to town

I’m gonna love you baby with all my might
I’m gonna make you feel all right
You’re gonna love me baby like you said you would
Honey, just like a young girl should

Baby, take a chance on love, on love
Baby, take a chance on love
You’re the only one I’m dreamin’ of
Baby, take a chance, baby’s in a trace
Baby, take a chance on love

My lucky thirteen black cat bones
And my lady luck tattoo
I got a hoodoo voodoo doll
And a photograph of you
I’m gonna cast a magic spell
A magic spell of love
And then I’ll put you in my trance
My magic trance of love

I’m gonna love you baby with all my might
I’m gonna make you feel all right
You’re gonna love me baby like you said you would
Honey, just like a young girl should

Baby, take a chance on love, on love
Baby, take a chance on love
You’re the only one I’m dreamin’ of
Baby, take a chance, baby’s in a trace
Baby, take a chance on love

I’m gonna take this step by step
I’m gonna take this seriously
I’m gonna take things one at a time
Because I love you obviously
But if you just wanna break my heart
Don’t be wasting my time
‘Cause with you from the very start
Our love was a felony crime

I’m gonna love you baby with all my might
I’m gonna make you feel all right
You’re gonna love me baby like you said you would
Honey, just like a young girl should

Baby, take a chance on love, on love
Baby, take a chance on love
You’re the only one I’m dreamin’ of
Baby, take a chance, baby take a chance
Baby, take a chance, baby’s in a trance
Baby, take a chance, baby take a chance
Baby, take a chace on love

BROKEN DOWN PIECE OF JUNK
(written by: Brian Setzer)

I got a beat leather jacket
I got a broken down car
I’m gonna push it up to the hill
If I can make it that far

‘Cause everything I own is a broken down piece of junk
Oh, la, la, la – Oh, la, la, la

Got a broken down record player
I’ve got a bird that won’t sing
And the buzzin’ in my head goes ring, ring, ring

Everything I own is a broken down piece of junk
Oh, la, la, la – Oh, la, la, la

One man’s fortune, honey
Is another man’s worst bad luck
If I ever crawl outta this hole alive
I’m gonna spend every last buck, buck, buck

I ain’t got a job
Live in a cheap hotel
The door ain’t got a lock
But I say what the hell

Everything I own is a broken down piece of junk
Oh, la, la, la – Oh, la, la, la

Well, one man’s fortune, honey
Is another man’s worst bad luck
If I ever crawl outta this hole alive
I’m gonna spend every last buck, buck, buck

Now don’t misunderstand me
I got my moonshine mash
But If I made any money
It’d be gone in a flash

Everything I own is a broken down piece of junk
Oh, la, la, la – Oh, la, la, la
Everything I own is a broken down piece of junk
Oh, la, la, la – Oh, la, la, la
Everything I own is a broken down piece of junk

WE ARE THE MARAUDERS
(written by: Brian Setzer)

We are the Marauders
We’ve come to steal your daughters
We like our booze and our rock n roll
We’ll break your heart and we’ll steal your soul

We don’t buy that two-bit rap
‘Cause American Idol is a bunch too crap
I didn’t buy this here guitar
To be a big television star

We are the Marauders
It’s nothing no one taught us
If you’re a Pennsylvania man
They’ll stick a shovel right in your hand

We’ve got this music in our soul
It’s nothing you can hear on the radio
If you don’t get it, it’s your tough luck
We don’t care about makin’ a buck
We’re the boys and we’re here to rock

We are the Marauders
We’ll never obey your orders
Right now they think you’re a fool
Next year they’ll be following you

Don’t buy the official line
That they don’t like this song of mine
If you don’t like it, the door ain’t locked
Buy me one more Rollin’ Rock
I said buy me one more Rollin’ Rock
Come on, buy me one more Rollin’ Rock

We are the Marauders
Life is one tall order
You gotta do what you wanna do
You gotta do what you’re born to do
But this whole life is way to short
If it feels right to you
Well, there’s the start

DON’T SAY YOU LOVE ME
(written by: Matt Rocker)

Don’t say you love me
Then jump right out of bed
If I scream at the top of my lungs
It would only hurt my head
Because I know that you’re nowhere near
That’s the last thing that I need to hear, oh yeah

Don’t say you love me
But you need a little space
What good is that emotion
If I can’t look you in the face
Being made a fool is my biggest fear
That’s the last thing that I need to hear, oh yeah

Don’t write love letters
And start them out “Dear John”
Don’t tell me not to leave you
When I’m already gone
And if it’s true let me make it clear
That’s the last thing that I need to hear, oh yeah

Don’t promise that you’ll love me
Until the end of time
You say you’ll deny me
But you’re already mine
But it’s up to you so don’t shed a tear
Because you know damn well what I wanna hear

REALLY ROCKABILLY
(written by: Brian Setzer)

Here they come in their official Levi’s
Hair slicked back, they’re really tough guys
Black t-shirt and bad attitude
Better not to step on their blue suede shoes
Livin’ in a time that’s long since gone
It’s not quite right, there’s something wrong
Look, there goes another Betty Page
Get with it, it’s all the rage

He’s a-really, a-really, a-really rockabilly
A-really, a-really, a-really rockabilly
He pissed in his pants
He’s too drunk to care
He’s wearin’ 1956 underwear

There’s neo-rockabilly
There’s psycho-rockabilly
There’s Starbucks-Orange County-Rockabilly
There’s Euro ja-ja wir machen rockin’ rockabilly
There’s western-swing-tradicional-blues-influenced-rockabilly
There’s Australian-shrimp on the Barbie
Carry on your surfborad
Too serious to buy your rolled-up Levi’s rockabilly
There’s rock-a-Johnny, rock-a-Sally, rock-a-hillbilly
It’s all so stupid and it’s just plain silly

He’s a-really, a-really, a-really rockabilly
A-really, a-really, a-really rockabilly
He pissed in his pants
He’s too drunk to care
He’s wearin’ 1956 underwear

The man at the door, he’s a rockabilly guy
He said you can’t come in, your pompadour’s too high
Better grow them sideburns, get a tattoo on your neck
Drink Pabst Blue Ribbon, drive a rockabilly wreck
Has it come to this, I want a new job
Rockabilly retards and rockabilly slobs
It used to be fun just to play the guitar
Now I just want to turn real, real far

He’s a-really, a-really, a-really rockabilly
A-really, a-really, a-really rockabilly
He pissed in his pants
He’s too drunk to care
He’s wearin’ 1956 underwear

He’s a-really, a-really, a-really rockabilly
A-really, a-really, a-really rockabilly
He pissed in his pants
He’s too drunk to care
He’s wearin’ 1956 underwear

Thank you, thank you very much
Think I’ll get another tattoo on my neck

ROCKET CATHEDRALS
(written by: Bryan Robert)

I’ve been a bad boy, you know the way
Became a bad boy and changed my name
My anxious dreams have found a clearer sky

I’ve been thinking about the state I’m in
And started sinking a bottle of gin
And rocket cathedrals pointing to the sky

I’m space-bound again
I need their money
And I can see the stars
It’s so funny
Until I’m Earth-bound again
I’ll miss you honey
And this rocket cathedral’s pointing to the sky

Some visit Lucifer
Some may be crucified
I’m going to Mars
Some talk to celuloid
Some talk to shiny cars
I’ll talk to shiny stars

I’ve been thinkin’ about all the ways
That a wise man spends all of his days
In a rocket cathedral pointing to the sky

Wish I was grounded and seen the last of my days
And not re-bounded down the Milky Way
And this rocket cathedral’s pointing to the sky

So I’m space-bound again
Who needs their money
And I can see the stars
I feel so funny
Until I’m Earth-bound again
I’ll miss you honey
And this rocket cathedral pointing to the sky

I’ll go to Lucifer
I may be crucified
I’m going to Mars
I’ll talk to celuloid
I’ll fly with shiny cars
Bye, bye stars

BAD BAD GIRL (IN A BAD BAD WORLD)
(written by: Brian Setzer)

Well, I caught the last plane to Tokyo, Japan
I’m sittin’ next to a chick with a Japanese fan
Ohayo gozaimasu, konnichiwa
Sayonara, Konbanwa
She’s not the same, she’s not the same
She’s not the same, she’s not the same
She’s not the same

She’s a bad bad girl in a bad bad world
A bad bad girl in a bad bad world
It’s not her fault, she’s a bad bad girl
It’s so sad, it’s a sad sad world

She’s a bad bad girl in a bad bad world
A bad bad girl in a bad bad world
It’s not her fault, she’s a bad bad girl
She’s a bad bad, bad bad, bad bad, bad bad, bad bad girl

Well, Harajuku City, Harajuku City
I’m lookin’ in the mirror and it ain’t real pretty
Soitsu wo moto kure
Soitsu wo moto kure
What can we do
Do shitara ii, do shitara ii
What can we do, do shitara ii

She’s a bad bad girl in a bad bad world
A bad bad girl in a bad bad world
It’s not her fault, she’s a bad bad girl
It’s so sad, it’s a sad sad world

She’s a bad bad girl in a bad bad world
A bad bad girl in a bad bad world
It’s not her fault, she’s a bad bad girl
She’s a bad bad, bad bad, bad bad, bad bad, bad bad girl

Too many people walkin’ down the street
There’s too many people walkin’ down the street
In a world gone mad, you’re a bad bad girl
It’s so sad, it’s a bad bad world
What can we do, do shitara ii
What can we do, do shitara ii, what can we do

She’s a bad bad girl in a bad bad world
A bad bad girl in a bad bad world
It’s not her fault, she’s a bad bad girl
It’s so sad, it’s a sad sad world

She’s a bad bad girl in a bad bad world
A bad bad girl in a bad bad world
It’s not her fault, she’s a bad bad girl
She’s a bad bad, bad bad, bad bad, bad bad, bad bad girl

WHEN HEPCAT GETS THE BLUES
(written by: Brian Setzer)

Well, it ain’t everyday that Hepcat gets the blues
Every once in a while, maybe just a week or two

Well, I don’t got nothing to worry about
The kids take off and momma screams and shouts
It ain’t everyday that Hepcat gets the blues
Every once in a while, not very often

Well, they say a man has to work from sun to sun
But a woman’s work it ain’t never ever done
If I work my knuckles right down to the bone
You better have that supper at the table at home
It ain’t everyday that Hepcat gets the blues

When Hepcat gets the blues
There’s nothing nobody can do
The wind starts blowin’ and the sky gets cloudy and gray
Ain’t nothing nobody can say
Get on your hands and knees and pray
It ain’t everyday that Hepcat gets the blues

Here we go
Go ahead Cat

When Hepcat gets the blues
There’s nothing nobody can do
The wind starts blowin’ and the sky gets cloudy and gray
Ain’t nothing nobody can say
Get on your hands and knees and pray
It ain’t everyday that Hepcat gets the blues

You better just hope that I don’t come lookin’ for you
‘Cause I just don’t know exactly what I’m bound to do

I’m gonna drink Jack Daniel’s right off the floor
Get a quart of beer and baby holler for more
No, it ain’t everyday that Hepcat gets…
It ain’t everyday that Hepcat gets…
Ain’t everyday that Hepcat gets the blues

BACK STREETS OF TOKYO
(written by: Brian Setzer)

I’m gonna take a plane, baby here I go
I’m gonna walk the streets of Tokyo
The crowds of people and the neon lights
The rock and roll days and the rock and roll nights
There’s a discotheque with a flashing sign
There’s a sexy girl gonna show you a good time
Come on in, the show is about to begin
Come on, come on, come on

I’m on the back streets of Tokyo
Back streets of Tokyo
Back streets of Tokyo
Back streets of Tokyo

I know a little place but it’s hard to find
Down the road that twists and the street that winds
Roppongi town down the alley way
The wine does flow and the band does play
So come on, come on, let the fun begin
There’s a night on the town, it’s a night to sin
I can take you down, come along with me
Come on, come on, come on

I’m on the back streets of Tokyo
Back streets of Tokyo
Back streets of Tokyo
Back streets of Tokyo

So come on, come on, let the fun begin
There’s a night on the town, it’s a night to sin
I can take you down, come along with me
Come on, come on, come on

I’m on the back streets of Tokyo
Back streets of Tokyo
Back streets of Tokyo
Back streets of Tokyo

Well, welcome to the land of the rising sun
And the sun don’t set til the party is down
Just be careful baby, don’t you press your luck
The back streets of Tokyo will eat you up
So come on, come on, let the fun begin
There’s a night on the town, it’s a night to sin
I can take you down, come along with me
Come on, come on, come on

I’m on the back streets of Tokyo
Back streets of Tokyo
Back streets of Tokyo
Back streets of Tokyo
Back streets of Tokyo
Back streets of Tokyo
Back streets of Tokyo
Back streets of Toyko

EVERYBODY’S UP TO SOMETHING
(written by: Brian Setzer)

I saw a man on a TV show, he said:
“Don’t drink alcohol
Please, don’t smoke no cigarettes
Don’t drink no coffee at all”
Later on, I’m watchin’ the news
And the man from the TV show was stopped by the cops
And in his trunk was a suitcase full of… well, you know

Eveybody’s up to something
Everybody’s got something goin’ on
Nobody’s up to nothing
Everybody’s done somebody wrong
Eveybody’s up to something
Everybody’s got to sing their song
Nobody’s up to nothing
Come on everybody, sing along

Well, the preacher man is callin’ on you
To live a much better life
“Get to the church on time, say all your prayers
Don’t covet thy neighbour’s wife”
The preacher man was surprised to see
Disserssion in the ranks
When the feds moved in
It was soon found out he had a billion in the bank

Eveybody’s up to something
Everybody’s got something goin’ on
Nobody’s up to nothing
Everybody’s done somebody wrong
Eveybody’s up to something
Everybody’s got to sing their song
Nobody’s up to nothing
Come on everybody, sing along

Well, everybody’s got something to say
About practically everything
The can feed the poor, they can tax the rich
They can even make Ashlee sing
If I’m doin’ something that’s botherin’ you
Don’t be tellin’ it nationwide
‘Cause everybody in the whole wide world
Got a little bit of something to hide

Eveybody’s up to something
Everybody’s got something goin’ on
Nobody’s up to nothing
Everybody’s done somebody wrong
Eveybody’s up to something
Everybody’s got to sing their song
Nobody’s up to nothing
Come on everybody, sing along

Eveybody’s up to something
Everybody’s got something goin’ on
Nobody’s up to nothing
Everybody’s done somebody wrong
Eveybody’s up to something
Everybody’s got to sing their song
Nobody’s up to nothing
Come on everybody, sing along

ROCK YOUR WORLD (bonus track for Japan)
(written by: Brian Setzer)

I wanna rock your world
I wanna make you my girl
I wanna rock your world
I wanna make you my girl

I wanna rock your world
I wanna make you my girl
I wanna rock your world
I wanna make you my girl

Well, don’t you ever use that tone of voice with me
Do you have to bring up that terrible memory
The night that you left was the worst night of my life
Couldn’t you understand all my trouble and strife

But I want you back, baby
Don’t you know that I do
If I have any problems
We can work it through
I’m a fool for you, baby
Don’t you know that I am
And you’ll never get the same from another man

I wanna rock your world
I wanna make you my girl
I wanna rock your world
I wanna make you my girl

I wanna rock your world
I wanna make you my girl
I wanna rock your world
I wanna make you my girl

Well, life ain’t the same without you by my side
When I see all my friends
I just wanna run and hide
When I run down the block
Pull over my car
I see you sittin’ down
At the end of the bar

I want you back, baby
Don’t you know that I do
If I have any problems
We can work it through
I’m a fool for you, baby
Don’t you know that I am
And you’ll never get the same from another man

I wanna rock your world
I wanna make you my girl
I wanna rock your world
I wanna make you my girl

I wanna rock your world
I wanna make you my girl
I wanna rock your world
I wanna make you my girl

All I ever wanted was to make it work out
All I ever wanted was to make it work out
All I ever wanted was to make it work out
All I ever wanted was to make it work out

Well, life is not the same without you by my side
When I see all my friends
I just wanna run and hide
Well, can’t you think of anybody but yourself
I pity the man that’s just another notch in your belt

I want you back, baby
Don’t you know that I do
If I have any problems
We can work it through
I’m a fool for you, baby
Don’t you know that I am
And you’ll never get the same from another man

I wanna rock your world
I wanna make you my girl
I wanna rock your world
I wanna make you my girl

I wanna rock your world
I wanna make you my girl
I wanna rock your world
I wanna make you my girl

THE HENNEPIN AVENUE BRIDGE
(written by: Brian Setzer)

Father Hennepin went down to Bennigan’s
To discuss the construction of the Hennepin Bridge
He had time to kill down by the flour mill
So he planned a picnic lunch on St Anthony Main

Now Father Hennepin he was notorious
And he liked a little drunk down at Nye’s Polanaise
His explorations were more than glorious
So they planned to build a bridge that would feature his name

Well, first Niagara and then St Anthony’s
Were discovered by the fella with the Hennepin name
But when the lock was filled on the lower falls
Eveyone was shoppin’ on the Nicollet Mall

And when the rope was cut on the Hennepin
Father Louis had a most unusual plan
He would take a dip in the Mississippi
He would dive from the centre and swim to the dam

When the time had come and he took the plunge
Everyone screamed: “My God, what has he done”
And though he tried to swim, the current carried him
Closer and closer to the brink of the falls

The people lined the banks of the Mississippi
To watch Father Hennepin go over the edge
The people there that day, they all swear they say
Father Hennepin was laughin’ as he fell to his death
